HOWARD COUNTY, MD — The following incidents occurred across Howard County Sept. 1-4 as reported by the Howard County Police Department. CarjackingEllicott City, 21043: 3400 block of Court House Drive, Sept. 3 8:30 p.m.An adult male victim reported that he was in his vehicle with an acquaintance when theacquaintance assaulted him and stole the vehicle. No one was injured. Police located the vehicle inanother jurisdiction. The investigation is ongoing. Commercial burglaryLaurel, 20723: Hope Baptist Church, 8800 block of Stephens Road, Sept. 2-3 overnightUnknown suspect(s) entered a construction trailer at the church by cutting the lock. Nothing wasreported stolen. Residential burglary Dayton, 21036: 4500 block of Ten Oaks Road, Aug.30-Sept. 2Unknown suspect(s) entered the residence and stole furniture and a home security system.Columbia, 21044: 5100 block of Columbia Road, Sept. 2 11:29 a.m.Police responded for a report of a male suspect entering two residences through unlocked doors.The suspect was located and arrested.
