Grinches Attempt To Steal Toys From Walmart Parking Lot: Police

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Christmas was almost ruined for someone by two holiday grinches. But thanks to seven Howard County police officers and K9 Popeye, the suspected thieves' plans were foiled. The police officers were called to the Walmart in the 3200 block of North Ridge Road Nov. 24 at 12:45 a.m. for a report of two suspects who had broken into a trailer and were loading merchandise into their U-Haul truck. When the police officers arrived, the two suspects took off into the nearby woods. Cpl. Guy Williams (not pictured below), PFC Luke Buchanan, PO Jeremy Corso, PO Jordan Steptoe, PFC Mike Mianulli (not pictured), PFC Nicholas Ventura, and PFC Chris Alexander and K9 Popeye searched the area and located both suspects. Kenneth Redmond, 51, and Stanley Scott, 47, both of Baltimore, were charged with burglary and theft. Police recovered nearly $5,000 worth of toys from the U-Haul the two men were using.
