Bloody Brook & Searles Pond Resilience Plan Public Meeting
The cities of Methuen and Lawrence are developing the Bloody Brook and Searles Pond Resilience Plan to evaluate options to mitigate flooding along the Jackson Street and Swan Street corridors. The brook flows nearly 1.25 miles from Searles Pond to its confluence with the Spicket River in Lawrence. As the region experiences more frequent high intensity rainfall events the Resilience Plan will help guide public investments along the brook and at Searles Pond.
Please join the project team for a public meeting at Nevins Memorial Library to learn why flooding is a problem at this location, how climate change is making it worse and what infrastructure solutions are required in Lawrence and Methuen to address the problem.
