Support for adoptive, foster and kinship caregivers who are familiar with Trust Based Relational Intervention and want help implementing. TBRI® Learning and Connecting Group provides support for adoptive, foster and kinship caregivers who are familiar with Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI®). Certified TBRI® Practitioners will lead the group to help you address behavioral challenges, learn how to implement TBRI and identify specific needs and how to meet them. Each group will begin by Learning a specific TBRI® tool and how to implement it in your home. The group will also be a place for Connecting with other parents going through similar struggles and finding hope for positive family change. Come join us for this weekly group and grow as a TBRI parent! Parents who have attended all 4 TBRI® for Caregivers training classes (Introduction and Overview, Empowering, Connecting and Correcting Principles) are eligible for the group. This group meets weekly at the PEACE Center (1 Purpose Drive, Lake Forest, CA 92630). We will either meet in an outside classroom (weather permitting) or an inside classroom with masks (covid permitting). This group is led by Certified Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI®) Practitioners: Tristen McGhee, adoptive mom & Brenda Crary, MFT. This class is a part of Orange County's Foster & Kinship Care Education Series (FKCE) to help you stay current with best practices in parenting.
