Alfred is a feral two year old neutered male, vaccinated, microchipped, just taken to the vet and updated everything a month ago. Very handsome dark grey cat with huge golden eyes. He is a fear feral, meaning he will not hurt you (no scratch or bite) but he will run and try to hide. We have tried for two years to socialize him without success, he was born feral and adopted at 8 weeks in the hope he would be a sweet house cat. The closest we get is admiring him from a distance and maybe giving him some food from our plates by hand. We have been able to catch him weekly to do his nails by wrapping him in a blanket. He is a good, healthy cat that simply is not meant to be cuddly and close to humans. Unfortunately, we are unable to keep him any longer. We have tried so hard for Alfred and want him to go to a home where he can be himself. He is good with other cats, tolerates dogs, but would do best in a house without children. He has great litter box habits, doesn't scratch furniture, hunts whatever creepy-crawlies get into the house, and doesn't meow/make noise. He has been strictly indoors because bringing him back inside would be impossible, but he shows a great aptitude for the outdoors and we would consider a barn cat home.
