Ladies, join us May 3rd from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for a day of intensive career exploration and hands-on seminars into technical careers. Ladies, join us May 3rd from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for a day of intensive career exploration and hands-on seminars into technical careers.  Highlighted programs will include: Aviation, Welding, Law Enforcement, Fire Protection, Automotive Technology, Auto Collision, Diesel Mechanics, Truck Driving, Machining, and Industrial Technology. Representatives from industry partners like Pantex, Amarillo Gear, Premier Truck Group, AC Police Department, & Amarillo Economic Development Corporation will be present to give attendees insight into their respective industries and their experiences as women in industry.  Event is FREE and includes lunch– but space is limited, so you must pre-register! Historically male dominated, two-year technical degrees and certificates in fields like Automotive, Machining, Industrial Maintenance, and I&E result in higher paying jobs and faster career advancement than non-technical two-year degrees. Amarillo College supports and empowers women to explore and pursue these non-traditional technical degrees and career paths. Agenda: 9:00 a.m. - Registration (Meet at Washington Street Campus, CUB, Oak Room) 9:30 a.m.  - AC Welcome 10:00 a.m. - Shuttle to East Campus 10:30 a.m. - Introduction from Dean Linda Munoz & Program Tours 12:15 p.m. - Lunch - Keynote Speaker – Panel 1:30 p.m. - Shuttle back to Washington St. Campus Location: Meet in the Oak Room, 2nd floor of the College Union Building (The CUB) on the Washington St. Campus, 2011 S.
