CR PRIDE, Board members presenting will be Corey Jacobson, Susan Liddell and Drew Powell. This week's presenter: CR PRIDECR Pride is an all-volunteer led organization whose mission is to create opportunities for awareness, inclusion, and visibility of LGBTQIA+ individuals in our community. CR Pride has successfully held the annual Pride Fest here in Cedar Rapids since 1995. After being forced to cancel their annual Pride Fest the last two years (2020 and 2021) due to the pandemic, CR Pride is excited to announce some exciting upcoming events including the opportunity to partner with an internationally recognized organization. CR Pride is in need of creating awareness, support and volunteers to help them successfully put on these events. Board members Corey Jacobson, Susan Liddell and Drew Powell will also be asking for insights on how CR Pride can improve their infrastructure to help their organization expand their scope of programming and grow with the increasing needs of the LGBTQIA+ community. About 1 Million Cups Cedar Rapids1 Million Cups Cedar Rapids is a free, weekly program that happens nationwide designed to educate, engage, and connect entrepreneurs. Developed by the Kauffman Foundation, 1MC is based on the notion that entrepreneurs discover solutions and network over a million cups of coffee. Early-stage businesses and established companies facing interesting challenges are welcome to present their companies to a panel of experts for advice, and engage the audience in a question-and-answer session to encourage collaborative and honest conversations.
