A workshop designed to give nonprofits a fundraising strategy that focuses on transformation of the organizations and their supporters. Join Heart for ENC on Wednesday, May 11th for our next event , Transformational Fundraising. This workshop will be led by our friends from Mission Triangle in Raleigh, who will present what we believe will be an impactful and empowering event. We will also offer several subsequent small groups in the weeks ahead. Fundraising is proclaiming what we believe in such a way that we offer other people an opportunity to participate with us in our vision and mission. - Henri Nouwen Every organization needs money. Thus, most nonprofits turn to fundraising…begrudgingly. But, what if fundraising was a gift to the nonprofit leader AND the giver, as well as the nonprofit? What if it was seen as an opportunity to transform lives in the process of serving our community? THAT is the Biblical perspective of fundraising and while our culture often misses that point, there is an opportunity for more in this conversation. Join us in this workshop as we explore how to generate resources for your organization while inviting others to join you in life changing work. We will be looking deeper into the following topics: The Approach – how shall we think rightly about fundraising so that we are all transformed as a result? The People – who is ultimately involved, what are our roles, and how is this a true partnership? The Activities – what are the most impactful fundraising channels and what do I need in place to make it happen? The Plan – what does a comprehensive development plan look like and what tools do I need to build it? You can expect stories of success (and failure!), research-based tools for you to utilize, and a community ready to work together for impact.
