Description
You are invited to spend time in nature for a deeply calming, healing, awe-inspiring experience. Join Norma Springsteen, highly experienced Transformational Trail Guide, and Suzanne Thibault, Animal Empath, for a walk in the woods to reconnect with nature, the elements, and even wild animals for a magical experience! Norma will guide our peaceful walk though Effie Yeaw Nature Preserve at Ancil Hoffman Park, helping you connect with nature's sights and sounds for a transformative spiritual experience. Suzanne and Norma will give voice to wild animals we encounter to learn their wisdom for our lives. Our simple intention is to relax, receive nature's wisdom and enjoy the forest with all of our senses. This is not about exercise! We will walk very slowly, stopping frequently to take in the beauty of the forest, experience nature's sounds and sights, and connect with wild animals for a rich personal experience. Come celebrate May Day with forest connection through the wonder, beauty, and wisdom of nature for a true adventure! First time at Effie Yeaw? There is a $5 parking fee that can be paid at the Ancil Hoffman Park entrance off Tarshes Drive or in the Nature Center. The forest trails are packed dirt with occasional rocks/gravel. The terrain is mostly flat with a few small hills, and benches are scattered throughout the park. The Nature Center has restrooms and a water bottle filling station. We will meet at the amphitheater behind the Nature Center. We’ll spend a few minutes getting oriented and grounded with a brief meditation before we hit the trail. This event is open to ages 12 and up and an adult must accompany children under 18. We’ll limit attendance to 10 people to assure everyone receives a peaceful experience. Recommended Gear: Closed toe shoes with good tread, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, water, journal/pen, camera, binoculars, other personal comfort and safety items. Questions?
