Have you always wanted to be a movie producer? Your name at the beginning of a feature film? Let's bring that dream to life! I am looking for one or more film financiers for my upcoming project. I am currently ready to make my first feature film and I have all of the crew, gear, locations, and actors lined up but I need a financier to bring this low budget project (under $50,000) to fruition. I will outline everything very generally and if you seem like the right person I will send over samples of my work so you can see that I make very high quality and professional products. Without giving too much away, the project is a thriller/horror film set in the desert and follows a stranded man as he investigates a motel with an insidious past. This is not a slasher but instead a suspenseful piece that focuses on classic horror elements instead of jump scares as we follow our main character through a gambit of emotions that brings his troublesome past back to the forefront. This is a completely original script that I have written along with my writing partner. If you are interested in the project we can talk further and I can give you more details on the story. A bit about me: I am a professional writer, director, cinematographer, and editor. I graduated from film school years back and since then, for the last five years, I have been preparing to make my first feature film by: creating short films, writing, directing, editing, and doing the cinematography for music videos, national & local commercials, documentaries, events, as well as getting hired as a cinematographer to work on commercials and feature films for other companies. I have meticulously, for nearly the last decade, dedicated my life learning every aspect of creating a film. My music videos and short films have won several awards at film festivals around the globe and all of my video content online between my short films, commercials, and music videos have received millions of views. My budgeted short films on youtube have been met with much acclaim and my films have a very high rating from the users. My non-profit clients whom I make videos for have record donations every time they show a video I have made for them. A brief story on my past success with an "angel investor" When I graduated film school, for my senior showcase, my short film showed at a movie theater and I was approached by two angel investors who offered to buy me something that would help with my career. They purchased me a camera and when they came back to check in and see how things went they saw that I had taken that camera and made enough money to buy a fair amount of gear to expand the jobs I could work. I could then work part time at a "typical" job and the other half freelance. The angel investor said I was the first successful case they had so they wanted to invest in me again. My computer was on its last leg (it was about seven years old) and they purchased me a new one so I was able to increase my productivity and take on more and varied clients. within the last four years I have amassed all the gear I need for any kind of production and I have a strong reputation, clients approach me from word of mouth, I work freelance fulltime, and I have a perfect rating on google for my services. I bring up all of this only to say, I am a highly motivated and reliable person. If you invest in me I will make an absolutely incredible product because I strive for excellence in everything I do. My passion and drive for film is unmatched but I am extremely realistic. After four years in film school and working professionally five years in the industry with thousands of hours under my belt, I can confidently say I am ready for this. I have the drive to get this done and I have put together all the resources necessary besides you, our financier. I want to find someone that loves film and someone who cares about cast and crew safety and wellbeing like I do. Because this is my first feature film, there will be a lot of learning along the way, and I have no guarantee that we will turn any kind of profit so I am looking for someone who really wants to fund this venture for the art and to get their name at the end of the movie as one of the lead Producers. Of course, we will have a contract and if the film does well you will be paid handsomely for your investment. I would retain all rights to the product but we would have a contract that you get a percentage of the income... whatever it is I want to be fair and make a partnership that is solid and built on trust so we can work together in the future and figure out how to make a solid return on investment for you.
