Press release from the Golden History Museum & Park: June 27, 2020 Golden History Museum & Park is excited to announce the next steps in our phased reopening plan. Phase 1 began on June 15 at the Golden History Park with the beginning of Hands-on History Summer Camp. Homestead Open House began on June 20 and will occur each Saturday from 10 am – 2 pm. For more information visit GoldenHistory.org/events. Phase 2: Limited Museum Hours and Days Phase 2 begins on Thursday, July 2, with the reopening of the Golden History Museum. Daily admission will resume at the museum with limited hours. The museum will be open Thursday-Saturday from 10 am – 2 pm. From 10 – 11 am visitation is reserved for museum members only; reservations are required. Starting at 11 am admission is by reservation or walk-up availability. Reservations can be made up to two weeks in advance. Admission is free. To make an advance reservation visitors must call the museum's main number 303-278-3557. Reservations will be offered every 30 minutes or upon availability based on museum capacity. Walk up tickets may also be obtained upon availability. A temporary ticket booth will be set up on the Museum's Creekside Patio. The 10th Street doors will be exit only, except for visitors with disabilities. Building capacity will not exceed 30 persons including staff, volunteers, summer campers, and guests. Current CDC and CDPHE standards for disinfection will be strictly followed.
