EXPERIENCED MAINTENANCE TECH (ALAMEDA) Maintenance Tech – Alameda, CA. Job Description: We are currently seeking an experienced, fast-paced individual to fill our Full Time Maintenance Technician position to work at our apartment community in Alameda, CA. The position will require a 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday and to make sure that the community meets safety, appearance and operational standards established by the organization by preparing apartments for move-ins, maintaining common areas, and completing maintenance requests in a timely manner as directed by the property manager. Day-to-Day Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Porter all common areas of the apartment community to maintain maximum curb appeal • Maintain pool chemical levels to industry standards • General plumbing repairs • Appliance repairs • Some Carpentry • Corrective/Preventative Maintenance • Excellent Dry Wall repair skills • Painting • Must be on-call for after-hour maintenance emergencies Required Qualifications: • 2-3 years apartment maintenance experience • Car/Truck, along with valid CA. driver’s license and proof of insurance • Honest and Reliable • Good organizational skills • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines • Exceptional problem solving and prioritizing skills • Safety trained and safety conscious at all times • Ability to work within Fair Housing guidelines • Ability to work positively, collaboratively and independently • Ability to take and follow direction • Ability to communicate well with residents and staff • Ability to communicate, read and comprehend written documentation • Require on-call emergency schedule • Must be able to lift 50 pounds • Ability to work in various weather conditions • Ability to adhere to given schedule and to be flexible as needed We offer: • Competitive hourly wage • We are friendly family owned and operated • Paid vacation and sick days • 14 additional paid holidays We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
