Local Livermore certified organic vineyard and winery operation seeks fulltime assistant vineyard manager and groundskeeper. With supervision the candidate will be responsible for many aspects of vineyard and landscaping operations and general estate maintenance. -Seasonal vineyard management. Pruning, irrigation, cultivation, spraying etc - General grounds keeping and landscaping. Preparation of grounds for special events etc. - Winery assistant. Assist with winemaking, bottling, inventory, storeroom as needed. Skills or work experience in the following areas would be ideal but not required: • General maintenance skills. Painting, basic carpentry, equipment maintenance, general shop skills, hand and power tool skills. Mechanical ability. • Experience with operation of tractors and forklift. • Any winery, viticulture or special events related work experience. • English and Spanish conversational skills. Fluent English not required but must possess a willingness to learn. • Flexibility. Will include some weekend and overtime work depending on season and task at hand. The ideal candidate would have significant related work experience, be available on a full-time basis and possess a genuine interest in viticulture and winery operations and a willingness to learn
