Local nonprofit based in East Palo Alto is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented, and experienced worker for our food pantry. This is a part-time position, Monday through Friday, from 9 am – 1 pm. Days and times are not negotiable. Applicants must be:
• 18 years or older
• HS graduate or equivalent (GED)
• Able to lift 50 pounds
• Work outdoors
• Stand for long periods
• Follow instructions
• Able to work with others
• 2 years minimum warehouse/food handling experience
• Forklift experience and/or Bilingual are a plus
• Available to work extra hours during our busy season
Work includes, but is not limited to organizing and stocking shelves, unloading/loading trucks, packing and distributing food boxes, keeping the pantry clean and neat, maintaining the organization of the refrigerator and freezer, receiving and recording in-kind donations, and working with volunteers, clients, and donors. In addition to these primary duties, other duties may be assigned during normal operations.
