When Uncle Sam was drafting men to serve in WW2, men had to only meet two requirements.
You had to be at least 5 feet tall.
You had to be literate. (Read/write).
They had to rescind the literacy requirement.
If you claimed to have bone-spurs, they would have given you a woman's role to serve.
