JEFFERSON COUNTY, CO — Around 40,000 pounds of chicken manure was dumped Thursday morning in the C-470 exit off westbound I-70 in Jefferson County. A tire blew on a tractor trailer and the vehicle rolled over, deputies said. "Fortunately no one is hurt and no other cars were involved," the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said in a tweet. The exit ramp was blocked for several hours while a cleanup was underway. "Firefighters on scene say the pictures don't do the smell justice," the sheriff's office said. Golden firefighters were tasked with assisting in the cleanup. Don't miss the latest news updates in Colorado. Sign up for free Patch news alerts and newsletters for what you need to know daily.
