The Detroit Parks Coalition is launching our organization to support healthy, equitable, and vibrant parks and public spaces in Detroit. After years of working together, the Detroit Parks Coalition has raised nearly $1 million for our next phase. As we launch our organization, we’ll be bringing on new staff, hosting cultural and recreational programs in parks across the city, and allocating funding for capital improvements for Detroit parks. Join us as we celebrate this accomplishment! We will feature music by Marcus Elliot, share our plans for the coming year, and conclude the afternoon with a nature walk led by Eliza Howell Park expert Leonard Weber. Please dress for a walk in the woods and wear comfortable clothes and shoes. This is an all-outdoors event and will take place rain or shine.
