An agricultural research company is looking to fill a research farm technician position. This is a seasonal summer position. This position can lead to a permanent, full time position depending on company needs at the end of the summer. Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to): • Trial applications, including calibration of equipment and application parameters • Sample collection • Operating various farm equipment • General farm maintenance (weeding, irrigating, fertilizing) Job requirements: • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record • Proof of eligibility to work in the US (social security or permanent resident card) • Farm experience (comfortable with driving a tractor and operating various implements) • Vehicle or reliable transportation to and from work • Ability to lift 50 lbs • Physically able to perform regular farm activities Experience with a variety of crops preferred. Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus. 40+ hours/week. $15/hr. Overtime and weekends likely during the busy months. Overnight travel possible. This is a primarily outside position.
