NEWARK, NJ — Weequahic High School's Black History Month Committee will hold a public forum for candidates running for Newark City Council in the South Ward.
The public is invited to a forum for candidates running for Newark's City Council seat in the South Ward. It will be held at Weequahic High School's auditorium located at 279 Chancellor Avenue, Newark, on Thursday, April 21, 2022 from 5 to 7 p.m. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. sharp.
The moderator of the program will be Science Park High School's well-known debate coach, Jonathan Alston.

The city of Newark will hold elections for mayor and city council on May 10. A runoff election would take place on June 14, if necessary.
