SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA — Orange County Fire Authority firefighters take care of all residents in their jurisdiction, the four-legged kind included. The OCFA technical rescue firefighters, along with the experts and volunteers at The Shea Center, participated in a horse rescue training in San Juan Capistrano Tuesday to prove just that. The training comes after OCFA technical rescue helped free a trapped horse named Choco that spooked and became wedged between broken concrete and rebar last summer, officials said. Sean Doran told Patch in a previous interview. "Do you remember Choco, the therapy horse rescued by our technical rescue firefighters last year?" A spokesperson for the OCSD wrote on Twitter. "That beautiful ending proved to be just the beginning. Our US&R technical rescue firefighters are getting hands-on training this week with The Shea Center."
