Press release from the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office: April 4, 2022 Detectives with the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office are investigating after a two-year-old child was pronounced dead at the hospital on Monday, said Sheriff Steve Prator. On April 4, just before 10 a.m., Caddo Sheriff's deputies responded to a call about a toddler found in the 15100 block of Gator Hole Freeway in Hosston. The child's mother found the child in the Black Bayou, just behind a neighbor's home. The mother retrieved the child. Life Air Rescue transported the child to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. CPSO Youth Services detectives and crime scene investigators are still working to determine exactly what happened.
