HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Police said a 2-year-old who went missing from a townhouse community off US 1 in Elkridge Wednesday night has been located Thursday morning. He was found when a postal worker discovered him on the side of Interstate 95 and notified authorities after 8 a.m., according to officials. Police said Ethan Adeyemi, 2, was on the side of I-95 north just before MD 103 when the U.S. Postal Service employee saw him and pulled over. "It appears Adeyemi walked approximately a half mile from where he went missing last night," the Howard County Police Department said in a statement Thursday morning. According to authorities, Adeyemi followed an adult out of his house in the 7800 block of Blue Stream Drive around 10:20 p.m. and was last seen running from family members. The postal service driver told police he had seen the photo of the missing child Thursday morning, and upon spotting him on the side of the highway, brought him into his vehicle until first responders arrived. Before the child was found, police said nearly 100 law enforcement and fire personnel participated in the search for the boy, who is nonverbal and may be on the autism spectrum. Since he was reported missing Wednesday night, officials used Ring doorbell videos and drones (once weather permitted it) in the search as well as K-9 officers. The child was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where police said "he appears to be in good health." According to WBFF, the boy was being treated for hypothermia. Since he disappeared, officials have been searching for him but have not had any success, police said in a statement Thursday morning.
