Providence Nursing Home Catches Fire, 1 Man Hospitalized

PROVIDENCE, RI — One person was hospitalized Wednesday after a Providence nursing home caught fire, according to fire officials. Firefighters were called to Charlesgate Nursing Center at 100 Randall St., around 10:30 a.m., after reports of smoke in a bedroom on the fourth-floor. Fire officials said a man in his 60s was taken to Rhode Island Hospital to treat smoke inhalation. Officials are still working to determine the cause of the fire.
