NEW ORLEANS, LA — Puff Johnson put on a show - including vomiting on the basketball court - in North Carolina's loss to Kansas in Monday's NCAA national championship game. Kansas came from a 15-point halftime deficit to defeat the Tar Heels, 72-69.
Johnson, who attended Moon Area High School near Pittsburgh, scored seven points in a three-minute period before suddenly collapsing on the floor and throwing up.
Johnson, a sophomore forward, finished with 11 points in the game.
Johnson played his first three prep seasons at Moon, averaging 22.1 points, 9.4 rebounds, 1.6 steals and 1.2 blocks per game while hitting 46 percent of his three-point attempts, according to the Tar Heels website.
He was the Beaver County Times and Sectional Player of the Year in 2019 and was first-team all-state as a junior, second-team as a sophomore.
Johnson's older brother, Cameron, is a player for the NBA's Phoenix Suns.
