Press release from Hopkins Public Schools: April 6, 2022 Design students at West Junior High have forged a new global partnership! Scholars in Frances Gibson's product design and engineering classes have been collaborating with a class from Norway. West students voluntarily come in early to Google Meet with their Norwegian counterparts, where they socialize and brainstorm new ideas for their class projects. Many of the conversations have been rooted in environmentalism and the differences between American and Norwegian culture. Innovative class opportunities like this foster many of our Vision 2031 Grad Traits like being globally-minded, empathetic, and thinking critically and holistically.
