Denver Human Services Announces Update To Absence Policy For CCAP Providers

Press release from the City and County of Denver: March 25, 2020 Update to Absence Policy for CCAP Providers Denver Human Services (DHS) recognizes the challenging circumstances confronting our community and is announcing a change to its absence policy that will take effect next month. DHS will increase the number of paid absences for children enrolled in the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) from one to 14 for the months of March, April, and May 2020. DHS will reassess this policy prior to June 2020 and notify providers of any changes. Providers will need to manually bill for March absences. The Child Care Automated Tracking System (CHATS) will automatically pay absences for children authorized for care through CCAP in April and May. As information becomes available regarding additional resources to support providers, DHS will work to keep them informed.
