Springmont, a private PK-8 Montessori school in Sandy Springs, is seeking Teacher’s Assistants to begin May 24 or August 1. These are full-time positions with compensation commensurate with experience, beginning at $16 hourly, plus a comprehensive benefits package including health, vision and dental insurance, paid time off, and professional development and retirement savings opportunities. Selected candidates that wish to start sooner may be eligible for part-time work beginning immediately. During the summer, Assistants serve as Camp Counselors, supervising young children participating in summer fun and activities, including arts & crafts, outdoor adventures, and water play! During the school year, Assistants support the Teacher’s work in the classroom and supervise children at recess and lunch, responding to the Teacher’s directions and reinforcing community routines and expectations. The ideal candidate is warm, reliable, organized, and flexible and possesses good written and verbal communication skills and facility with technology. Experience with children is preferred. Previous experience in a Montessori environment is not required; however, candidates must be willing to learn about the nuances of a Montessori environment and implement them throughout the workday.
