Description
BUCKHEAD, GA — An updated Buckhead shuttle service will launch April 19, according to reports.
"Buc" is an app-based, on-demand transportation service that will pick up and drop off riders in the Buckhead area, according to ReporterNewspapers.net. The company will include four free-roaming Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans and will replace the existing, fixed-route Buc service.
The app is not yet completed but those interested can enroll for Buc service alerts by clicking here.
Livable Buckhead officials told Urbanize Atlanta that trips around Buckhead will be cheaper than standard rideshare services: $3 each way.
Shuttles won't operate late into the night or on weekends, but will do morning and evening commutes and lunchtime hours, according to Urbanize Atlanta.
