Shipping Manager for a Beauty Supply Distributor Full Time: Hours: 7:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday thru Friday Job Summary: Works closely with Warehouse Manager to ensure efficient operation of full filling customer orders. Responsible for picking, packing, and shipping daily orders. Help maintain accurate inventory in the warehouse. Follows up with and maintains accurate data for Warehouse Manager to be aware of activities and discrepancies. We are a fast-growing company, which means we need someone with the ability to adapt to a growing environment. Attendance is key as this is an important role in our company. Job Duties: *Pull orders from a packing slip *Pack orders for shipping *Ship orders (Primary Role) *Ensure the accuracy of all shipping documents, and gather and maintain all data relative to shipping activities. *Read shipping orders to determine the quantity and type of transportation needed. *Receive incoming stock to be restocked on shelves Minimum Requirements and Skills: **Must have strong attention to detail.** -Computer literate and comfortable learning and using new software and technology. -1 Year minimum of using shipping programs - for example, ShippingEasy, Shipstation, or a similar program. -Experience with Cycle Counts/ Inventory Management -Must have a good attitude and ability to work as a member of a team -Must be self-motivated and able to work effectively under minimum supervision after learning all aspects of the position. -Must be comfortable with asking questions and admitting to fault, error, or lack of knowledge when confused about performing new/harder tasks. -Effective oral and written communication skills. -Ability to read and comprehend department literature (i.e. sales orders, pick lists, packing slips, purchase orders, etc.) -Ability to perform basic mathematical functions. -Excellent attendance and punctuality are required. -Ability to perform repetitious work accurately. -Ability to handle multiple activities or interruptions at once. -Must have excellent skills in reading and comprehension of the English language. -Forklift Cert Preferred but not required Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands and/or fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, operate office equipment, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, talk or hear, taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Sufficient manual dexterity. Warehouse environment.
