DENVER, CO — Pepsi Center will be renamed the 'Ball Arena' under a new partnership between the Colorado-based Ball Corporation and Kroenke Sports and Entertainment.
Under the sponsorship, the Ball Arena "will transition to infinitely recyclable aluminum beverage packaging – cans, bottles and cups – for 100 percent of the venue's concessions by 2022," according to a press release issued Thursday.
The Ball Corporation, a Fortune 500 company that's based in Broomfield, is the world's largest supplier of sustainable aluminum beverage packaging.
The company will work with Kroenke Sports and Entertainment to "implement fan and community engagement initiatives in Denver to educate the community on aluminum beverage packaging's infinite recyclability and positively impact the way they think about making sustainable choices in their everyday lives," the news release read.
