Modular Building Technician $20-$25/hr DOE Modern Building Systems, Who we are Modern Building Systems is the oldest continuously licensed commercial building manufacturer in Oregon, Washington, and California. The Modular Building Technician position allows for indoor and outdoor work. We are the leader in the commercial modular construction industry serving multiple industry sectors along the west coast from Modern Building Systems is active in all aspects of construction, including; design, engineering, manufacturing, transportation and planning services for its clients. In this role you will work with a team to refresh and repair incoming buildings to get them ready for future customers BENEFITS AND COMPENSATION Wage $20-$25/Hr depending on experience. Clean and help transport mobile offices and modular buildings to client sites. Repair and clean yard and branch equipment as necessary. Stocks buildings prior to shipment and inventory needed in installation. Notifies management of order needs in a timely manner. Maintains and cleans the yard and office as necessary. Maintains accurate transportation records. Maintains stocked inventory sheets for all available units. Performs other duties as assigned. Pilot vehicles as needed. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Modern takes great pride in producing high-quality buildings for our customers. Experience in construction is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate who wants to grow and learn. Preferred Qualifications Include: Six months experience with forklift operation, construction repairs and carpentry. General knowledge of commercial construction, terms and procedures. Knowledge of power tools and general tool safety and basic computer skills OR equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to read a tape measure, use construction tools and operate a forklift. Must have a clean driving record be able to travel to jobsites on occasion where Davis Bacon/Little Davis Bacon wages may apply. Pilot car certification is a plus.
