Description
Due to recent circumstances we are looking to rehome our 1.5 year old Border Collie/Lab mix Gracie. She is UTD on all shots (good until December). She is currently not fixed but does have an appointment to be on April 27th.
As Gracie has grown and matured we have found that she simply does not do well with other dogs. She is an Alpha, a queen bee so to speak. Due to this she has displayed some dominance issues that have ONLY transferred to other dogs. She does well with Cats and Reptiles.
As Gracie is a herding/hunting breed she would ideally be placed in a home with some land. A farm or somewhere with a big backyard would be the best fit. She LOVES to run and play!! She definitely needs daily exercise.
Gracie is VERY loyal to her human family. She is affectionate, sweet and a genuinely kind soul. As much as she loves to run and play...well she loves to cuddle equally as much.
I stress that Gracie would be best fitted for a home that does not have any other dogs. We simply ask that her new family provide vet and/or personal references to ensure that she is going to be loved and well cared for. We also ask that we have photos of where she will be housed so that we can confirm that this will be the right fit for her.
I assure you, we did not come to this decision lightly. We have exhausted all reasonable options to accommodate Gracies particular needs. We have simply come to realize that transitioning Gracie to a new home would not only be what is best for our household but ultimately and most importantly is what would be best for Gracie.
