I have no problem registering my gun, because I'm not a murderer.
I have a big problem with the fact that criminals can get stolen guns on the street as easily as they can buy a bag of pot.
It seems that the police have their hands tied, when it comes to confiscating guns from the real criminals. Criminals have too many "Rights".
The easy thing for a government to do is take guns away from law-abiding citizens.
But our government refuses to do the right thing and go after the people who should NOT be owning a gun.
Ahh, the Good Old Days; The cops had it under control back in the day, when they would use 'stop and frisk' tactics on the street.
Cops KNOW who the bad guys are !!
They deal with them every day !! They see the same faces repeatedly going to jail !!
Back in the day....not so long ago...
Cops used to drive around town and whenever they saw a bunch of hoodlums gathered on the street corner, they would stop and check them out.
40 years ago, it even happened to me, but I don't blame the cops for doing their job and trying to keep the criminals on their toes.
Most of the time the cops would find a guy in the group who had a warrant out for his arrest, or they'd find an illegal gun, or drugs, or something.
Now, criminals have too many rights and too many lawyers willing to take down the cops in court for 'harassment'.
That means the cops have had to back off and let criminals be criminals.
Now the cops have been relegated to being the clean-up crew 'after' the crimes are committed, instead of proactively stopping criminals beforehand
