Description
Waste Less Works is hiring for Deconstruction Crew Members.
Deconstruction is an environmentally friendly alternative to Demolition. We utilize hand tools to disassemble buildings from the inside out and top down. Basically this is reverse construction and is a labor intensive position. Our focus is to try and keep useable materials out of the landfill.
We will provide training for the job specific skills and the opportunity to learn is constant. Deconstruction is a great way to learn how buildings are put together.
Job duties include variety depending on the project but here are some of the most important:
Showing up on time ready to work with appropriate clothing, and food to keep motivated throughout the day.
Roof tear off, carefully salvaging boards, smashing drywall, prying, de-nailing, cutting, carrying, stacking, keeping organized and recognizing different materials, measuring, sweeping, shoveling, hammering, unscrewing, using a variety of hand tools. Did I say staying organized? Organization keeps a job safe and moving steadily to completion.
Some construction experience is preferred but not necessary. A willingness to work hard and learn is necessary and pay is dependent on experience and work ethic.
The opening is for a full time position but some flexibility in schedule is possible. Waste Less Works is a family owned business. Some employees have been with the company since the inception 10 years ago. We work hard and like to get projects completed safely and on time. If you like variety and working for a smaller company that offers a opportunity for growth please apply or email with any questions.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $30.00 per hour
