We are currently taking applications for the following position. Daytime Warehouse This is a warehouse position responsible for pulling and loading customer orders. You will be responsible for operating electric pallet jacks, locating and selecting the correct products, checking product quality on all orders, stacking and loading product in warehouse coolers and/or delivery trucks. This position requires early morning arrivals and will continue to the end of the shift. The end of shift is determined by each day's amount of business. Working the weekends, holidays and overtime are required to successfully fill orders. Position requires working in areas with temperature and humidity variations. Coolers, freezers and warehouse are all different temperatures. An individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty listed below. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Essential Skills and Knowledge: • Meet or exceed minimum efficiency levels. Requires working rapidly at a constant pace for the entire shift, in a fast paced environment. • Develop a good working knowledge of product, placement, and inventory control techniques and procedures. Essential Duties: • Hand select orders within various warehouse environments of fluctuating temperatures, including Dry, Cooler, and Freezer • Stack product on pallets or carts in accordance with proper selecting procedures (for example, no stacking heavy-on-light, labels facing out, etc.). • Frequently lift product that weighs 1-75 pounds, up to 100 pounds • Stage products for loading on proper dock locations or in load assigned trucks • Immediately advise supervisor of any unsafe conditions. • Follow sanitation requirements in order to comply with policy set forth by the Company and all GMP Food Safety Requirements. • Maintain and safely operate all assigned equipment and safely operate all mechanical equipment. • Attend all required company meetings. • Follow instructions for cleaning procedures after selecting is done daily. • Other duties may be assigned. Basic Requirements: • Must be 18+ years of age • Able to read, write and communicate in English as it relates to the job and to the safety regulations • Must pass pre-employment screening (Drug Screen, Background Check) Preferred Requirements: • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) • 6 months warehouse experience • Previous experience in foodservice industry To be successful in this position, the individual performing the duties must successfully demonstrate the following competencies: • Safety Awareness • Adaptability • Quality Orientation • Managing Work APPLY IN PERSON AT: Chefs' Produce Company - Contact is Michael Piorkowski (General Manager) 1654 Terre Colony Court Dallas, TX 75212 Apply anytime between 7am and 3pm, Monday through Friday
