5 Lavender Orpington laying hens to good home! I work from home and they are a little too noisy for me. I get 4-5 big brown eggs per day. They are 13mo old and just completed their first molt. Preference to experienced, backyard chicken people who won't (immediately) butcher them. They will come with their hanging feeder & waterer, and what is left of their feed (Layena pellets/oyster shells) and treats (meal worms). They are friendly and used to being handled but have not been exposed to children, cats, livestock, or rowdy dogs. They are used to free-ranging during the day, and go into their coop at night. They have access to a large dust bath (kiddie pool, available for free if you want it), and get fresh fruits and veggies daily. Their coop is regularly treated with diatomaceous earth to prevent mites. Asking $40 and would prefer to deliver them myself. Located in West Salem and willing to travel from Brooks to Independence. Their coop is available for an additional fee, though not inexpensive (one of the nicest coop/run combos you can buy).
