Man Charged With Murder In Connection With Denver Shooting Death

DENVER, CO — A man has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the shooting death of 42-year-old Joseph Heck in west Denver, the 1st Judicial District Attorney's Office announced Thursday. Gabriel Moak, 53, is accused of shooting Heck multiple times on Nov. 10, the DA's office said. Police officers were called to the area after a 911 report. They found Heck lying in a stairwell with gunshot wounds, officials said. Heck was taken to the Denver Health Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
