Rutgers Geology Museum Hosts Kids-Oriented Open House Jan. 25

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — The Rutgers Geology Museum will open its doors for a rare public event this Saturday, where kids and adults alike are invited to tour the facility and learn about geology, natural disasters, gems, minerals and ... dinosaurs! Rutgers Geology Museum will hold their 52nd annual open house from 9 - 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25. Come hear presentations on natural disasters such as earthquakes and volcanoes and their impacts, which will be held in Scott Hall. There will also be hands-on activity sessions for kids, a mineral sale and rock and mineral identification in Scott Hall, and make-and-take stations. Field Station Dinosaurs, located in Leonia, will bring its baby Hadrosaurus puppet and will also offer hands-on activities for visitors. All events are free and no preregistration is required.
