Who you are: As a full-time McKinley Project Site Specialist, you will handle everything from performing pre-inspections, job walks/inspections as well as installing and servicing home elevators, vertical and inclined wheelchair lifts, commercial dumbwaiters, car lifts and car turntables. If you are skilled or feel that you could be an expert in any of these trades, then you may be the right fit for our team. As the person with the most face-to-face interaction with our customers, you represent the McKinley name in every job you complete. This means your mechanical/technical skills combined with your strong customer service orientation is the key to your success. Responsibilities: • Performs job walks, pre-inspections, and inspections • Responsible for the oversight of product installation; from preparing the site, ensuring acceptable quality is met to successfully pass state or city inspections as applicable, and that the project is within budget and schedule • Act as a liaison between the company and manufacturers • Communicate and interact with customers while providing them with excellent customer service • Provide telephone support for customers, contractors, and installers • Install wheelchair lifts and perform service calls • Complete work orders, including inputting and verifying serial and model information • Document and communicate to support team via company iPad. • Continually work with Safety First in mind to protect yourself, customers, and the company • Travel in your assigned company van/truck to customer locations • Ability to properly diagnose and repair a variety of equipment • Assist Field Supervisor in assessing the need for additional technician training. • Maintain professionalism in all aspects of your role including appearance and hygiene • Contribute to team effort by performing additional duties as requested Work Schedule: • Monday through Friday with occasional after hours and/or weekend work • Must live in or within 30 miles of Inland Empire California. • Travel Percentage: Local driving from 50 to 75% Qualifications/Abilities: • Electrical and Schematics • Welding • Hydraulics • Solid mechanical skills • Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving • Working knowledge of iPad and iPhone • Computer skills and proficiency including Microsoft office and other cloud based products • Highly organized, punctual, and reliable • Able to work overtime • Strong attention to details and accuracy • Ability to think and process information quickly, clearly and accurately • Excellent verbal and written communications skills • Able to work without supervision • Must be able to read a computer screen • Ability to successfully prioritize and meet customer needs • Ability to work harmoniously with the public and co-workers • Ability to read, understand, and comprehend documents such as work instructions, and procedure manuals. • Frequent customer interaction, must be able to speak and hear well enough to communicate with others • Must have schedule flexibility, as services may be performed during evenings, weekends or holidays • Ability to operate Forklifts and Scissor Lifts. Training, certification, and re-certification will be provided Solid writing and grammar skills • Strong reasoning ability; able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, written or oral instructions; able to deal logically with problems and people Physical Requirements: • Physically fit for lifting and moving equipment (up to 50 lbs.) - 10% • Ability to bend, stoop, and twist - 10% • Ability to see, hear, and smell - 100% • Ability to push, pull, and perform overhead work - 10% • Ability to work on ladders - 10% • Prolonged standing, sitting, climbing and driving - 20% • Ability to work with various hand and power tools - 10% • Use of fingers/fine manipulation - 10% • Grasping/Feeling: must be able to write and type – 10% Perks and Benefits: • Company provided work vehicle. • Company provided iPad/iPhone • Paid medical and vision for employee.
