CAT (caterpillar) MECHANIC WANTED [diesel] Qualifications •Must be able to read and comprehend specifications, service literature, parts literature, technical bulletins and other related publications •Knowledge of install builds in various stages on both gas fuel and diesel type engines •Ideal candidate will have experience working within the diesel mechanics industry (specifically with CAT earthmoving equipment) •Understanding of fitting replacement components for cooling, air, hydraulic connections, or wiring. •Experience with adjustments on valve train, gear train, fuel system, cooling system, and oil system •Stable work history Responsibilities •Our Equipment Technician/Mechanic is primarily responsible for troubleshooting, servicing and repairing heavy machinery •Perform all levels of repair and preventative maintenance on heavy machinery, diagnose and troubleshoot problems, make recommendations for repairs. •Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, and test and adjust assemblies with minimal supervision •Daily use of various precision gauging tools to check accuracy of assembly and fitting operations •Uses all common mechanic's hand tools, portable power tools, power presses, simple machines tools, and powered crane to assemble parts into complete unit, making alterations. •Test and verify correct operation of all repairs and adjustments •Perform critical repairs and adjustments •Assist in cleaning and maintenance of all equipment. •Occasional assistance in operation of machines to maintain production when necessary •Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management Requirements -Experience in heavy equipment repair: 4 years (Preferred) -Must be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs. -Requires wearing hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, protective clothing, gloves and other personal protective equipment in accordance with any regulations or laws. -Ability to speak, comprehend, read and write English. -Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment. -Bilingual (a plus) Pay will be based on EXPERIENCE
