Reliant Realty Services, LLC (“Reliant”) is a real estate property management company specializing in affordable housing properties. Reliant employs and manages approximately 700 personnel who facilitate operations at the asset level. Reliant currently provides property management, legal, accounting, security, compliance, and maintenance services to approximately 13,000 units across 8 states. Summary: We are looking for a professional Handyperson with residential building maintenance and groundskeeping skills to assist with the day-to-day maintenance, repair, upkeep of the property grounds and efficient operation of all building systems and equipment. The handyperson will coordinate and complete all requested work, assign priorities, and follow up on completion. Classification: Non-exempt (eligible for overtime); Non-Union Essential functions/Responsibilities: duties include but are not limited to the following - Performs routine maintenance work and makes repairs to properties as needed, including light plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, and electrical - Coordinates with tenants to set times to access apartments to make repairs - Works closely with Property Manager/ Superintendent who will help coordinate tasks - Must be able to maintain property grounds (upkeep of 18 acres of land) - Efficiently manages incoming service requests - Repair of walkways and exteriors - Efficiently run: 60" EXmark, Weed trimmers, Hedge trimmers and The John Deer x700 tractor with a 52” snowplow. - Tracks time and logs activities and the work completed for each job - Completes renovation projects as needed - Performs high-quality work with attention to detail Requirements: - Thorough understanding of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions - Must have High School Diploma or equivalent - Minimum 2 years’ experience with a successful track record as maintenance tech/handyman - Experienced and knowledgeable in construction and maintenance - Able to handle a wide variety of repairs (including painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC license.) - Good at troubleshooting and problem solving - Good communication skills to communicate with tenants and other staff effectively. - Good at using e-mail, text messages, and apps for business purposes - Able to work a flexible schedule - Owns all tools needed for general handyman tasks- is a PLUS
