Description

Featuring presentations and panels addressing equity issues in healthcare and other moral challenges facing healthcare professionals today. Health Equity: Expanding the Justice Conversation is an innovative multidisciplinary program designed to empower those interested in advancing health equity and in supporting diversity and inclusion in healthcare. What is Health Equity? According to the World Health Organization, equity is the absence of avoidable, unfair, or remediable differences among groups of people, whether those groups are defined socially, economically, demographically or geographically or by other means of stratification. "Health equity” or “equity in health” implies that ideally everyone should have a fair opportunity to attain their full health potential and that no one should be disadvantaged from achieving it. Join us for a two day conference full of keynote speakers, panels and as always our signature lunch, included in every ticket. This year’s conference will include presentations and activities to inform and empower those interested in diversity, inclusion and health equity in the provision of health care services in the United States with a particular concentration on the social determinants of health. More info coming soon. Colorado Healthcare Ethics Forum (CHEF) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that facilitates opportunities for collaboration and networking among persons and organizations engaged in healthcare ethics across the state of Colorado. We would be proud to have you join us while we actively seek out diverse perspectives and open dialogue on morally complex issues. Learn more about us at coloradoethicsforum.org.
