Join Criswell College's annual National Day of Prayer.
The Bible says in 1 Timothy 2 to pray “for kings and all who are in authority, in order that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth” (vv.2-4). To summarize: pray for people at the centers of power and authority so tranquility will result, and so the Gospel can go forth freely and effectively! This passage is instructing us to pray not for structures and systems but for individual, influential people.
Thursday, May 5 is the National Day of Prayer for these United States. Mark your calendars, then come and enjoy coffee and pastries in Horner Hall that morning from 10-11 a.m. as we pray for leaders in the following spheres:
GovernmentMilitaryMediaBusinessEducationChurchFamilyWe will also pray for Criswell College – students, faculty, staff, administration, alumni, donors, trustees – and how it might bring Gospel influence to bear in all these areas. Please come pray with us, for us, and for our nation.
