Description

We rescued a Great Pyrenees last May, Thatcher, and absolutely adored him, and still do. We got him a Buddy in September and he is very paternal and protective over his friend. They are very bonded. About two months ago he developed a food aggression only toward human food. We have done everything the vet has said to do, but he is still having issues. We have 6 sometimes 7 or 8 children here being foster parents, and we fear that one day he may snap at them and sometimes it's hard making sure they dony have anything out when he is inside. He has no aggression towards humans and is a great guardian dog. He loves the kids very much, but its like he has blinders on when human food is involved. They love the outdoors, and do spend a lot of time outside willingly. They're bred to be outdoors guarding livestock, but they're also used to being indoors partially and they sleep inside at night time as well. I am looking to rehome them to a home that is able to take them both because of how bonded they are and a home that has a yard but is also willing to have them in part of the time and love on them since they do love attention. They are free to a good home that can meet their needs. Thatcher turned 2 in March and is neutered and up to date on shots and Jimbo is 8 months old and up to date on shots, but will probably not be ready to be neutered until a year and a half. Thatcher last measured at the vet in February at 125 lbs and Jimbo at 75 lbs. They've been around cats, but no livestock. Would probably do alright with bigger livestock, but no poultry. If interested, please text me at or email me.
