Experience the art of stillness & aromatherapy Join Wildlight Yoga each month for relaxation techniques to reset with a gathering of select yoga, meditation & conscious breathing techniques. This month, Yoga Teacher, Jen Frazier (she/her), will be holding space and guiding students through an extended restorative practice with essential oils. Restorative yoga helps provide that physical and mental balance to prevent stress and anxiety. With the assistance of props (blocks, bolsters, & blankets). The focus is for releasing the grip of muscular and inner tension so you can be more spacious and receptive. Exploring what happens when you slowly release unnecessary habitual tension in the body and mind. Yoga, and similarly essential oils have both been utilized for thousands of years to heal cleanse and balance the the body mind and emotions. Oils add a subtle yet potent effect in our yoga space. They can offer a deeper and more fulfilling practice by your enhancing your stability, increasing clarity of your breath work and restoring your energy to a more calm and relaxed state. Together, we will experience gentle, therapeutic and relaxing asana, pranayama and meditation while incorporating essential oils aromatically as well as topically throughout class. Oils will also be diffused during class. Participants will always have the option of using the oils at their own discretion. Please dress in layers, as your body temperature drops in the meditative states. Socks, long-sleeved shirts and full-length pants are recommended. You will end the practice feeling as though you’ve had a good night’s rest and prepared for the week ahead.
