COLORADO SPRINGS, CO — The FBI, deputies, community members and organizations are searching for an 11-year-old boy who has been missing from his Colorado Springs home for a week. More than 130 tips have been received by the El Paso County Sheriff's Office.
Gannon Stauch left his home in the 6000 block of Mandan Drive between 3:15 and 4 p.m. on Jan. 27 to go play at a friend's house down the street, according to the sheriff's office. He has not been seen since.
Hundreds of volunteer community members joined authorities in the search for the boy over the weekend. The search parties focused on the Lorson Ranch subdivision area.
Stauch was first classified as a runaway by authorities, but his case was later changed to a missing/endangered persons classification, and the FBI began assisting with the search.
The boy takes special medication, authorities said. He was last seen wearing a blue jacket and jeans.
