The Oak Grove Gardeners are a small, forward-thinking company with big dreams. We got tired of our noisy, smelly line trimmers and blowers and replaced them with clean, quiet battery-powered equivalents. They're better for the environment and for your ears. We wanted to cut down on carbon emissions from our lawn mowers, so we replaced some of them with robots. Less clippings means less time spent hauling heavy cans of grass to the truck, and on to the dump. Better for your back, better for our clients' lawns, and better for our air quality. We wanted to use less fuel on the road, so we focused on finding clients and projects closer to our home base in southwest Naperville. Our vendors are close by, too. We're fortunate to be able to do nice work for and with some very nice people. We wanted better work-life balance. Good work, good hours, but enough time in the mornings and evenings to do the things that you want and need to do. At a time when it feels like there are fewer hands to go around, we want to use whatever tools we have available to make light work. We want to take as much of the suffering out of professional gardening as possible. We owe that to one another. Strong backs, strong minds, and dignified work opportunities.
