Faith4Hope Presents 2nd Annual Juneteenth Community This event will be held at outside at Faith4Hope Community Center on Saturday June 18th, 2022. This daylong, community-led celebration will feature music, dance and other performances, a host of youth and family activities, historical and cultural booths, Speakers, and vendors offering an array of food, merchandise, bouncy houses, and face painting. What is Juneteenth Celebration? Juneteenth is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States. Juneteenth today, celebrates African American freedom and achievement, while encouraging continuous self-development and respect for all cultures. As it takes on a more national, symbolic and even global perspective, the events of 1865 in Texas are not forgotten, for all of the roots tie back to this fertile soil from which a national day of pride is growing.
