Description

This session is four hours and includes a technology, applications, and equipment review. The main source of signal loss in a fiber optic link is most commonly connector-related. Of the possible issues, over 85% of these problems are typically caused by dirty fiber optic end faces. With the ever-growing popularity of multi-fiber ribbon cables being deployed in FTTA applications, it goes without saying that fiber end-face inspection is critical to minimize having to revisit a site and to minimize potential issues in the future.
