Learn how to make handmade paper out of recycled materials.
In celebration of Earth Day, join us and guest artist Sharon Willocks for a class making paper out of recycled materials. All materials included with ticket purchase.
A word from the artist Sharon: "I began making paper from grass clippings in my yard many years ago using mould and deckle sets that I made myself, in sizes ranging from a few inches to several feet across. Since then I have enjoyed experimenting with all kinds of found items to create little art pieces I give as cards to friends on special occasions and also sell at craft fairs. Before the paper dries, I embed all kinds of things to create a picture. Here are some samples---a few pieces made using an 8" X 5" deckle set. Folded they create cards that fit into envelopes."
